3D Technology Sales Associate

Do you have an unbelievable work ethic (we're talking the top 10% of anyone you know), a drive for financial freedom and skin thick enough for making cold calls - then this might be the sales career for you.

We are looking for a sales professional proficient in cold calling, working through gate-keepers and with the ability to close. Sales position involves:

  • Generating appointments by phone, walk-ins and networking
  • Meeting decision makers for 3D sales opportunities
  • Understanding the unique needs of each client
  • Closing business
  • Client follow up and support

Your daily job

  • Make prospecting calls and follow up with visits and presentation.
  • Be able to make a sales pitch to stakeholders and potential users of the technology.
  • Thorough requirements gathering and documentation for a deep understanding of client and customer needs - we believe in under promising and over delivering.
  • Be honest, detailed and proactive in your communication to potential and current customers and owners. Pretty simple stuff.
  • Provide customer service your mother would be proud of.

You need the following personality to get in the door

  • Proven ability to multitask and work in a fast paced environment.
  • Professional demeanor.
  • Ability to switch gears quickly and pickup where you left off.
  • Ability to communicate using the tools available - this means managing at least two phones, while using email and IM.
  • Proven ability to record keep, log and pickup ongoing communication threads.
  • Ability to learn and understand "the lingo" of a client or customers.
  • Hall of Fame work ethic.
  • Proven ability to negotiate, manage demanding or difficult clients or stakeholders and an ability to smoothly handle and diffuse conflict.

Specific qualifications for the desired person include

  • Previous successful cold call sales experience.
  • Persuasive communications and presentation skills.
  • Persistent, goal driven.
  • Solid organizational skills.
  • We prefer a college degree but we have successful sales representatives without one.
  • Must be able to create presentations, pdfs, documents, collateral.
  • CRM and Salesforce type experience would be nice but not required if you pickup software quickly.
  • Computer skills and a flexible technical understanding - 3D design or printing experience preferable, but we will train you at 3D Systems training center.
  • We prefer prior sales experience in MCAD or to the following Industry verticals, but we will provide additional training as needed:
    • Industry verticals : Automotive, Airspace, Plastic production, Metal Fabrication, Medical Devices, Arts and Entertainment, Industrial Design, Architecture, Design Studios, Universities, education (understanding education and government procurement processes would be a bonus).  
    • Previous experience that has prepared some of our best associates include: advertising, automotive, medical, printing, fabrication and commission-driven positions.
  • Be comfortable working Saturdays on a sales floors during Conventions and Industrial Shows with lots of noise and a lot of action. Trade show experience would be nice but is not required.
